2011 Winner's List - Home Arts And Crafts
WINNER’S LIST

Results of the judging of approximately 785 entries in the Pumpkin Show Home Arts and Crafts Department have been announced by Diane Sutton, and Katie Schneider, Trustees.

The Pumpkin Award was won by Pam Patrick with her wall hanging featuring calico pumpkins

The Junior Pumpkin Award was awarded to Alyssa Steele with a table mat featuring colorful pumpkin fabric.

Marie Troehler, 98, is honored as the most Senior entrant in this year’s Show with her crocheted doilies.

Ann Slonecker won the Grand Champion Quilt Award with her hand-quilted red-work “Victorian Ladies” quilt.

Glen Hall won the Grand Champion Afghan rosette for his cranberry colored knitted afghan

Best of Show Honors in Section I went to Virginia Gifford with her machine-quilted wall-hanging entitled “Log Cabin Spin”

The winner in Section II was Rita Summers with her hooked rug of hand-dyed wool depicting “Farming Long Ago”

Best of Show honors in Section III went to Beth Starkey-Hill with her cerise and lime appliqued coat “Jacobean Jazz”

The Section IV recipient is Gene Koch with a metal wall sculpture of wrenches in the shape of Ohio.

The Best of Show award in Section V- Age 13-18 division went to. Wyatt Greene’s red oak rocking chair. Sue Anne Steele won Best of Show honors in Section V- Age 12 and under with her table mat featuring cardinals.
