Tia Marie Jean, 16, Logan Elm, junior. Tia is the daughter of Larry and Patricia Jean of Circleville.

At Logan Elm, Jean participates in volleyball, basketball and track. She was named most valuable player of the girls' track team in 1996. She is vice president of the junior class and is involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Art Honor Society, Art Club, Pep Club, Students Against Drunk Driving and the yearbook staff. She is also president of her 4-H club, a member of St. Joseph's Church and a part-time employee at Turley's Restaurant.

After high school, Jean plans to attend a four-year college and major in elementary education or dentistry. She would like to run hurdles on the track team at the college level.

"I'm very excited and feel honored to represent the LE class of '99," Jean said. "I'd also like to thank the whole student body of Logan Elm for giving me this wonderful opportunity."
