Kristal Tharp, 16, Zane Trace High School junior - Kristal is the daughter Dr. Tom and Judy Tharp of Chillicothe.

At Zane Trace, she is a member of student council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes treasurer, junior class president, chairman of the prom committee and magazine sale, three-year varsity volleyball member, three-year varsity basketball member, and amateur athletic union - basketball. She is also the 4-H club treasurer, a member of her church youth group and a participant of church mission trips.

After high school, Tharp said she plans to attend college major in premed. She would also like to play basketball at the college level.

What does she like about Pumpkin Show? "I like the excitement with the parade and activities, the band music, the crisp fall air, hot cocoa and the pumpkin desserts and all the friendly people!"

About being selected to represent her school, Tharp said the following: "First, I am thankful for the opportunity and honored to be selected. It is very important to represent my school with pride and with dignity."
