Jennifer Stricker

Jennifer Stricker, 18, Amanda-Clearcreek High School senior - Jennifer is the daughter of Neil and Theresa Strickler of Amanda.

At Amanda-Clearcreek she is involved in basketball, track, Varsity Club, Fellowship of Christian Students and Athletes, student council secretary, National Honor Society, Hosler Mentorship Program, Science Club, FACES program, Teen Institute, Future Farmers of America, 4-H Club president and Special Olympics volunteer. She is employed by Colonnade Medical Group in Lancaster.

After high school, she plans to attend a four-year nursing program at Mount Carmel College of Nursing in Columbus.

If Jennifer could invite anyone to the Pumpkin Show, she said she would invite her cousin Rebecca Jean Strickler. "Becky was 19 when she was in a fatal car accident in December 1997. She was the type of person who lived life to the fullest. She loved people. And people are what make the Pumpkin Show so great."

Jennifer recalled her most memorable Pumpkin Show experience: "The very first time I attended the Circleville Pumpkin Show was in the sixth grade. I can remember watching the parade and prestigious queen contest, and later watching the senior representative from Amanda-Clearcreek High School crowned as the Circleville Pumpkin Show Queen. I was amazed at how well our school was represented, not only in the queen's contest, but also in the massive amounts of supportive students."
