If she could invite anyone to Pumpkin Show, Renee said she would choose George R. Haswell. "I would invite the man who started it all ... to show him how the festival has grown and to show him how his idea has made Circleville known throughout the entire state."
She recalled her most enjoyable Pumpkin Show experience as "the first time I ever attended this festival. For the first time, in 1991, I was able to see one of the things that makes Circleville so great. I realized why Circleville is known throughout the state of Ohio and why so many people gather in our small town. I loved meeting so many friendly people, trying all the new pumpkin-flavored foods, playing the games and riding all the rides.
