One of Pumpkin Show's most anticipated events is the crowning of Miss Pumpkin Show and her court the three ladies chosen to represent Circleville and its festival throughout the year. As proof of the contest's popularity, look no further than the school hallways and the Pumpkin Show parade route. Hand-crafted signs congratulating the selected junior and senior women from six area schools can be found just about everywhere students are gathered.

Tomorrow night, 1999 Queen Courtney Vickers, a Circleville High School senior; Lindsay Brennan, Teays Valley High School graduate; and Brittany Lafuse, Westfall High School senior, will enjoy their last royal ride down the parade route. The newly selected queen and her court will join the new Little Miss Pumpkin Show court beginning Thursday.

Along with a brief biography and information about plans after high school, the candidates were asked to answer two questions: If you could invite anyone to the Pumpkin Show (celebrity or other, living or dead), who would it be and why?; Describe your most enjoyable Pumpkin Show memory.

Here is an individual look at each of the candidates and their responses to The Herald's questionairre.
