Makiah M. Maxson, 17, Logan Elm High School senior - Makiah is the daughter of Eric and Diane Maxson of Laurelville.

At Logan Elm, Makiah is involved in SADD, Key Club, student council secretary, varsity club, pep club, show choir, varsity volleyball, varsity basketball, president of 4-H, varsity softball and National Art Honor Society.

After high schoo, she plans to attend Miami University or Ohio University and major in culinary arts.

If she could invite anyone to Pumpkin Show, Makiah said she would invite her grandfather who died in 1992. "Although he has been to the Pumpkin Show before, this would have made him so proud to get to see me on stage representing my school."

Her most memorable Pumpkin Show experience was in the first grade when she rode through the parade and participated in the Little Miss Pumpkin Show contest.
