If she could invite anyone to the Pumpkin Show, she would invite her
great-grandpa Hinton. He passed away last year and always enjoyed
playing in the Adelphi Band at the Pumpkin Show. If he were here today,
he could support her in the queen competition.
Her first memory of the Circleville Pumpkin Show is still fresh in her
mind. She was a young child and the huge display of pumpkins totally
fascinated her. She was amazed at the sizes and shapes. She was allowed
to choose any pumpkin she wished. She chose one with Minnie Mouse
painted on it. She was so proud of her pumpkin.
