If Courtney could invite anyone to the Pumpkin Show she would invite her
uncle Pat who lives in Virginia, because he seldom goes out of the state.
She said because he is a farmer and would love to see all of the
agricultural displays. She thinks if he would come he would enjoy it and
possible make it a family tradition.
For Courtney the most memorable Pumpkin Show experience was two years
ago when she was a freshman in high school. This was the first year she was
able to go with friends. She went with her friend Andrea Haddox, whose
grandma lives in the middle of Circleville. She wrote that she loved being
able to be in the middle of town and watch all the floats. Also she was able
to see her sister march with the middle school band. Another highlight of
that year was Andrea's grandmother's noodles, which are a tradition.
"It was a great experience and I look forward to many more," Courtney
wrote.
