Brooke E. King, 16, Zane Trace High School junior. Brooke is the daughter of Chris King and Candace King of Chillicothe. At Zane Trace she is active in FCCLA, FBLA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Church Triumphant Youth Group, student council and she is a varsity cheerleader.

After high school she plans to attend college and work toward a career as a pediatrician.

King said she would invite her father to Pumpkin Show if she could. "He lives and works in Joplin, Mo., He is always very supportive, and I know he wishes he could be here."

Remembering her favorite Pumpkin Show memory took her back to when she was 9 years old and her brother was 7. "There were pumpkins everywhere," she wrote. "We were so amazed that people could grow such huge pumpkins. I will never forget when I saw the big pumpkin pie! And since that first experience I always look forward to seeing it again."
