HERALD STAFF REPORTS

One of the most highly anticipated Pumpkin Show events is the crowning of the festival queen. Twelve candidates from area high schools have been selected by their classmates to vie for the coveted title.

Beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Katy Ankrom, 2002 Miss Pumpkin Show, and her court, First Attendant Brooke Thompson and Second Attendant Brooke King, will enjoy their last ride as festival representatives. Following the parade and judging, the trio will crown the new court. The newly selected representatives will join Little Miss Pumpkin Show and her court during the 3 p.m. parade Thursday.

For the sixth year, the event is sponsored by Circleville Sunrise Rotary.

Along with a brief biography and information about plans after high school, The Herald asked candidates to answer two questions: 'If you could invite anyone to Pumpkin Show, who would it be and why?' and 'Describe your most memorable Pumpkin Show experience.'
