Rachel E. Barnes, 17, Westfall High School senior- Rachel is the daughter of Paul and Susan Barnes of Williamsport.

She is or has been involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, student council, swing choir and cross country. She also volunteers for Circle of Caring and she sings in her church's vocal and bell choir.

After high school, she plans to attend a four-year college, possible Kent State or Otterbein to major in education.

Rachel said she would invite her great-grandmother Kantola to the Pumpkin Show. She said she is sure she has never seen such a big show in her life and would be proud of her participating in the 2003 Miss Pumpkin Show contest.

Her most memorable Pumpkin Show experience was playing her flute in the middle school band. She said through the parade route she saw many supportive faces of family and friends. She said participating in the parade gave her a sense of pride as a Pickaway Countian.
