Kendra Quincel

Kendra Quincel, 17, Amanda Clearcreek High School junior - Kendra is the daughter of Keith and Karen Valentine of Stoutsville and Darrell Quincel of Circleville.

Kendra’s activities include gymnastics coach at the YMCA, student council, art club, drama club, foreign language club, library club, independent music study and FCA. She is a member of Logan Elm Baptist Church and involved with Special Olympics.

After high school she plans to go to college. She hasn’t narrowed down her exact field yet but she is interested in art and psychology. She’s thinking of combining her interests and pursuing art therapy.

If she could invite anyone to the Pumpkin Show, she said at the risk of not changing the world, she decided to invite Simon and Garfunkle. She would ask them to do a concert, all the parents and grandparents would be happy for a while and forget about all the money they’re spending on the kids at Pumpkin Show. Simon and Garfunkle would write a song titled “Are You Going To The Circleville Pumpkin Show.” It would become as famous as “Scarborough Fair” and all the world would wonder.

Her most vivid memory was the year that she got lost when she was five. The Pumpkin Show was a really big place when she was so small. A really nice lady took her to the information booth and they paged her frantic mom. The next year was pretty memorable too; she was chained to her mom’s belt loop that year.
