My reign as the 2006 Circleville
Pumpkin Show Queen can be expressed
in one simple word, amazing! This past
year, I had a once in a lifetime opportunity
to represent my home town of Circleville,
and travel around Ohio promoting
The Greatest Free Show On
Earth.” Through this incredible experience
I met so many great people, and
had a fabulous time
inviting those attending
other Ohio festivals to
come and join the fun at
the Pumpkin Show.
I’d like to first thank
the Pumpkin Show
Committee and the Sunrise
Rotary for making
this experience possible
through the hard work
they put into making the
Pumpkin Show the
largest and most successful
festival in Ohio. I’d
also like to thank the
businesses that donated
their wonderful gifts to
my attendants and me.
To first attendant
Christyn Barrows and second attendant
Dakota Vansickle, you two made this
year such a blast. I had so much fun
with you girls and I’m so happy to have
the two of you as life long friends. I’m
going to miss playing spoons and riding
rides at all the festivals with you two!
And to Linda Ballou, our chaperone,
thank you so much for all that you did
for the three of us. Your dedication to us
and the Pumpkin Show says a lot about
the great person you are. You put in so
much of your time to travel with us, and
allow us to promote and represent the
Pumpkin Show. You truly do bleed
orange.
I’d like to give a special thank you to
my family and friends. Your love and
support is something that will never be
forgotten. To Circleville High School
and my class of 2008, thank you for not
only giving me the chance to represent
you, but also making the
night I was crowned an
unforgettable night. Your
support and your faith in
me were much appreciated.
Lastly, this year
and this opportunity was
truly a blessing, which is
why I’d like to thank
God for the miracles and
blessings he gives all of
us everyday.
I have lived in Circleville
my entire life
and the Pumpkin Show
has always been the
highlight of my years. To
be the Queen of the
100th Pumpkin Show
has been the highlight of
my life so far, and a dream come true
for me. I am so honored to have been
able to represent 100 years of family
fun and tradition that the Pumpkin
Show offers. Like I said before, this
year was absolutely amazing and I cherish
every memory that was made!
My congratulations goes out to the
2007 Pumpkin Show Queen and her
court. You will have a spectacular
year in representing 101 years of
what is truly the “Greatest Free Show
On Earth!”
