At the different festivals, I have learned something about each town. Every festival is different, whether it honors a town’s fire fighters or a town’s history in railroads. However, they each are similar in celebrating the tradition of riding rides, eating great food, and having a fantastic time with the family. Festivals are great opportunities for communities to come together and celebrate.

These traditions have been passed down through the generations and I want to thank my hometown of Circleville, Ohio for allowing me to represent our festival, the Circleville Pumpkin Show. I would like to thank the queen’s committee for allowing me to travel throughout Ohio, and I must have a chaperone that is willing to take me to the different festivals so I would like to thank Linda Ballou for taking me to each parade. While visiting the parades, I have traveled with my court, Sarah Scott and Rebekah Neal. Having an amazing time at the festivals, we have become better friends with each other and the other queens. My family has also been very supportive and encouraging as they have often traveled to the different festivals as well; I could not have represented the Pumpkin Show without the values that they have given me throughout my life. Because I was nominated by Circleville High School I could not have been given this opportunity if they had not believed in me and supported me. I would like to thank my Lord for allowing me to not only represent this festival and my family, but also Him. He has truly blessed me with this opportunity to serve Him throughout this year as the 2007 Miss Pumpkin Show and I would also like to thank anyone else that has made this year possible.

I have had a wonderful time this year representing the Circleville Pumpkin Show. Thank you for supporting me and allowing me to be a part of this great tradition. I am honored and so blessed to have been given this opportunity to travel to different festivals over this last year and I have enjoyed it very much.
